People have been left in disbelief at the simple four word response that Karoline Leavitt gave when questioned about Elon Musk’s recent behavior.
Working closely with Trump as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Musk has found himself at the center stage of the administration.
And now his public spat with Trump’s trade advisor, Peter Navarro, has got the attention of the White House.
Attacking Navarro on X, formerly Twitter, Musk called the chief advisor a ‘moron’, adding that he is ‘dumber than a sack of bricks’.
This was after Navarro made comments about Musk in an interview where he said that he wanted to see car parts made in the US.
He said: “If you look at our auto industry, right, we’re an assembly line for German engines and transmissions right now.
“We’re going to get to a place where America makes stuff again, real wages are going to be up, profits are going to be up.”
Discussing Musk, Navarro added: “[He’s] not a car manufacturer. He’s a car assembler, in many cases.”
In response, Musk said that Navarro’s comments about Tesla were ‘demonstrably false’.
Musk added: “By any definition whatsoever, Tesla is the most vertically integrated auto manufacturer in America with the highest percentage of US content.
“Navarro should ask the fake expert he invented, Ron Vara.”
Yesterday (April 8), White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt responded to questions about the spat.

She said: “These are obviously two individuals who have very different views on trade and on tariffs.
“Boys will be boys, and we will let their public sparring continue.”
This statement has caused quite a stir on social media, with many people sharing their own reactions to the comment.
On X, one user wrote: “‘Boys will be boys’ is she f***ing kidding? This isn’t high school Barbie. These ‘boys’ have the fate of millions of Americans in their hands.”
Another said: “Oh my god. This admin is taking us so far backward that two top officials publicly fighting over a global trade plan, one that could cost households thousands and kill millions of jobs, just gets brushed off as ‘boys will be boys’.”
A third user commented: “‘Boys will be boys’ – as the economy crumbles, as working families are left behind, and as democracy dies. At least the boys have their toys.”
And a fourth person added: “Translation: nothing to see here folks.”

Elon Musk has responded to the hacking group Anonymous after the group put out a stark warning about the future of Twitter.
The billionaire has lashed out the ‘hacktivists’, who are well known online for exposing corruption and bringing awareness to injustice.
In a recent video put out by the organization, they sent out a ‘red flag warning’ over President Donald Trump, describing his relationship with Vladimir Putin as a ‘love fest’.
They also claimed that Musk is ‘now pulling the strings in the US government’s so called Department of Government Efficiency’.
Anonymous went on to say: “Musk’s parade of empty promises and hollow patriotism is as transparent as it is dangerous. The man is the very f***ing embodiment of everything conspiracy theorists warned us about, a rich b**tard with too much clout, hell bent on global domination.
“All while riding the coattails of the very people he claims to liberate. So are you ready to lose your freedom? Is worshiping the rich worth the cost of losing your democracy?”
And talking about ‘Project Russia’, Anonymous warned: “This isn’t paranoia, ‘Project Russia’, a documented plan to destabilize Western democracies, details this exact f***ing playbook, exploit economic chaos, co-opt influential figures and erode public trust until democracy is a smouldering ruin.
“Musk’s unchecked authority and Trump’s bromance with Putin are textbook moves from that playbook.”
However, this isn’t the first time that Musk has been called out by Anonymous as they had previously claimed: “When Trump loses the election, Elon is going to dissolve and liquidate Twitter.”
Musk was quick to clap back at the group following Trump’s election win in November 2024.

The Tesla boss took to his own social media platform X, formerly Twitter to write: “Change your handle to @YourLibtardNews. It’s more accurate.”
At the time, other users were divided on whose side they were on, with both parties receiving a lot of replies.
One user said to Musk: “You’re literally a neo-liberal bro lol.”
Meanwhile another thanked the SpaceX CEO for the group’s new ‘Twitter livestream name’.
The main response said: “Thanks for the suggestion, how about helping some homeless and poor people with all those unlimited funds ya got? Call us all the names you want – but helping the poor is always the right thing to do.”
Calling him out again in their recent warning, Anonymous reminded users that ‘no one voted for Elon on a ballot’ as they added: “His self-styled crusade is nothing more than a bulls*** narrative crafted to justify his own power grab.”

There are continued concerns about the potential power Elon Musk wields as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, and after being tasked with slashing some $2 trillion from government spending, the world’s richest man is already making cuts with a (literal) chainsaw).
President Donald Trump has suggested that the DOGE’s powers sit below that of the cabinet, although that hasn’t stopped a lot of anger being directed Elon Musk‘s way. Even though the POTUS told the tech billionaire to be more aggressive, he’s also reiterated that he’ll use a ‘scalpel’ rather than a ‘hatchet’ to make it happen.
As part of the cuts, mass firings, and pushing the ‘deferred resignation’ option, Musk sent out a no-nonsense email demanding that federal workers justify their jobs.
Musk told staff to send an email with five bullet points explaining things they’d achieved that week, and although the message was supposed to be clear, confusion ensued. The FBI told staff to ignore it, senators asked Musk himself to reveal what he’d been up to, and some claimed the whole thing was ‘illegal’.

Senior cabinet members including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth also advised staff to disregard the ‘5 Things’ email.
Despite only giving workers 48 hours to respond, Musk then delivered an extended ultimatum while suggesting they could be shown the door.
According to ABC, many were shocked to get a response from Musk’s office, especially as it wasn’t the one they were expecting. The outlet reports how numerous employees have been getting bounce-back emails, hinting that the Office of Personnel Management’s inbox is full.
Even though Musk loves to wear his ‘Tech Support’ tee, tech issues are seemingly affecting the likes of the IRS, Social Security Administration, and the Department of Health and Human Services.
The bounce-back message reads: “The recipient’s mailbox is full and can’t accept messages now. Please try resending your message later or contact the recipient directly.”
ABC didn’t hear back from representatives from the OPM or DOGE, although it points out how staff at the Department of Health and Human Services have been sent an internal email that states: “We are aware that emails … are being returned as undeliverable. Please send your weekly accomplishments to [another address] and cc your supervisor.”
One federal employee claims to set a reminder every Monday and simply send the same accomplishments without ever being reprimanded. Another said that staff mock DOGE in their email and added: “I don’t think anyone is reading these.”
In an email seen by The Bulwark, Securities and Exchange COO Ken Johnson apparently states that those who receive a bounce-back email should “save your email to OPM for your records, but otherwise there is nothing more you need to do today.”
It sounds like things are in free fall, with the outlet saying that Musk’s threat of termination has been met with some employees and agencies abandoning the mandate altogether without any ramifications.
Still, we wouldn’t mock the situation too much because the ever-vigilant Mr. Musk is sure to take note before long.

It could be a short but memorable stint for Elon Musk’s time in politics, and while he was never officially elected into power, his designation as a ‘special government employee’ has seen him lord it over us as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency.
Tasked with slashing $2 trillion from federal spending, he’s been firing thousands of government workers and gutting whole departments.
Although there have been questions over what power the DOGE actually has, there’s no denying that Musk’s closeness to President Donald Trump has raised some questions.
While we already knew that Elon Musk‘s special government employee status means that he can only work for 130 days out of the year, and with that deadline approaching, his time with the DOGE was always going to be done (for now).

There were spectacular reports that he’d soon be leaving the DOGE, and with it seemingly being for good, President Trump even suggested that the whole department could soon be shuttered.
Keen to dispel the myths, Musk has addressed the rumors head-on with a savage three-word response. Posting on X, the DOGE overlord simply wrote: “Yeah, fake news.”
He was responding to a post from White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who said the supposed ‘scoop’ on Musk’s departure was ‘garbage’. Leavitt added: “Elon Musk and President Trump have both publicly stated that Elon will depart from public service as a special government employee when his incredible work at DOGE is complete.”
Leavitt took issue with a Politico article reporting that “President Donald Trump has told his inner circle, including members of his Cabinet, that Elon Musk will be stepping back in the coming weeks from his current role as governing partner, ubiquitous cheerleader and Washington hatchet man.”
Still, it’s unclear where Musk stands on the 130-day limit. It’s possible he’ll go back to running his private ventures like Tesla and SpaceX before returning to finish the job at the start of 2026.
At least we know Musk is still in the POTUS’ good books, with Trump saying: “I’d keep him as long as I could keep him.”
Musk has remained committed to the DOGE despite the backlash and death threats he’s supposedly received. He also vowed to keep going even though his net worth has plummeted. Part of the problem is that many think Musk isn’t taking the issue of people losing their livelihoods seriously.
With him going viral for brandishing gilded chainsaws and wearing wedges of cheese on his head, these allegations are only getting worse.
Discussing the Politico article, White House spokesperson Harrison Fields told Fox Digital: “Politico has become a tabloid paper that would rather run fake news for clicks than real reporting.
“This is exactly why President Trump and DOGE have terminated millions of dollars in wasteful, government contracts to so-called news organizations that have diminished their credibility with the American people.”
Even if Musk is hanging around for now, the original plan set out a historic expiry date for the DOGE, supposedly closing down on July 4, 2026. This would mark Independence Day and the 250th anniversary of the USA.

People have noticed an awkward detail on the X profile of the mother of Elon Musk’s 13th child.
This is after the pair had a public online spat on the billionaire’s social media platform.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Musk claimed that he didn’t know ‘if the child is mine or not’.
Despite this, the Tesla boss said he had paid MAGA influencer Ashley St Clair $2.5 million and was sending her $500,000 a year.
In response, St Clair said: “Elon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born. You refused.
“And you weren’t sending *me* money, you were sending support for your child that you thought was necessary… until you withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for “disobedience.” But you’re really only punishing your son.
“It’s ironic that your last effort in court was to try to gag me while you use a social media channel you literally own to distribute derogatory messages about me and our child to the entire world. It’s all about control with you, and everyone can see it.
“America needs you to grow up, you petulant man-child.”
Sharing the post, one X user wrote: “Quiet everyone, my show is on.”
This sparked a response from another user who spotted an awkward detail about St Clair’s account.
They pointed out: “Lol she doesn’t pay 8$ anymore.”

The $8 is in reference to paying for a premium account on the platform, which gives you the famous blue tick.
A third user commented: “Yeah she’s in that petty mad stage. Sold the Tesla & got rid of her blue check.”
A fourth questioned: “Didn’t Elon remove the check mark so she couldn’t monetize anymore?”
And a fifth person added: “Wouldn’t put petty elon passed removing her premium account status.”
In a post published on X on February 14, St Clair had previously written: “Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father.
“I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child’s privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause.”
She went on to say: “I was told to keep it secret. I was being asked to keep it a secret forever. I was completely isolated during my pregnancy. Every part of my career and everything I used to do I couldn’t do anymore. I was told not to tell anybody.”
