US Vice President is making headlines after he endured a major embarrassment on live television after dropping the Ohio State national championship trophy to the ground.
This was while the team was getting honored at the White House.
The Buckeyes’ football team visited Vance and President Trump in recognition of their national championship win over Notre Dame in January, and the VP, who happens to be an Ohio State Alum, spoke about being thrilled to welcome his own alma mater to the country’s capital state of DC.
But the ceremony went from happy to sad when he tried to hoist the trophy in the air, and then the base got detached from the top and fell to the ground in a surreal scene.
Vance then rushed to pick it up before Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson tried to assist him to put the trophy back together.
However, when that didn’t happen, Vance chose to hold the top of the trophy up while the base was left on a nearby table, with Trump holding the helmet at the same time for the Buckeyes. Trump was standing right there and could be seen grimacing after Vance’s unfortunate ordeal.
