He’s suggested there’s a wider conspiracy against him 🧐👀

Elon Musk has handed out an unexpected five word clap-back in response to the ‘shocking’ level of hate and vandalism towards Tesla vehicles.

The Tesla boss had something to say about the recent attacks on vehicles and dealerships, which he remarked had reached levels he’d never seen before.

Musk has been at the center of controversy in recent months as he’s become close friends with President Donald Trump.

Taking on the role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Musk has been hacking away at federal spending in a bid to eventually save trillions of dollars from the budget.

So far, the billionaire has been scraping back money by canceling contracts and making mass layoffs, which have proven to be controversial.

In protest, members of the public have taken to boycotting Musk’s EV company, with some even vandalising Tesla cars and showrooms.

Now, the tech mogul has spoken out against the acts during an interview with Fox News on Tuesday (March 18).

Musk said: “It’s really come as quite a shock to me that there is this level of, really, hatred and violence from the left.”

He added: “I always thought that the left, you know, Democrats were supposed to be the party of empathy, the party of caring, and yet they’re burning down cars, they’re firebombing dealerships, they’re firing bullets into dealerships, they’re smashing up Teslas.

“Tesla is a peaceful company, we’ve never done anything harmful.”

Musk went on to suggest that there is a wider conspiracy against him, adding: “I mean, who’s funding and who’s coordinating it? Because this is crazy. I’ve never seen anything like this.”

The SpaceX CEO continued: “And they basically want to kill me because I’m stopping their fraud and they want to hurt Tesla because we’re stopping the terrible waste and corruption in the government. I’ve never done anything harmful.”

Anger has grown around Musk’s involvement with the government after he became an unelected advisor to the president in January.

The White House has stated that Musk has no decision-making authority but government officials have been locked out of their offices by DOGE employees.

There has also been confusion over employment status for a lot of workers after multiple mass layoffs were reversed.

Trump has also commented on the vandalism, calling the attacks on Tesla dealerships ‘domestic terrorism’.

He said: “They’re bad guys. They’re the same guys who screw around with our schools and universities. We’re gonna catch you, and you’re gonna go through hell.”

Go big or go broke

Even though he might be the richest man in the world, we question how long Elon Musk will be able to keep that title if things continue the way they are. Following a devastating one-day loss of $29 billion, Musk’s current net worth still sits at an impressive $324.3 billion – making him well over $100 billion richer than Jeff Bezos.

As well as overtaking Bezos to become the richest person in the world in January 2021, Musk has continued to break milestones as the first person in the world to be worth over $300 billion and then $400 billion.

Still, he’s also entered the Guinness World Records as the first person to lose $200 billion thanks to declining Tesla stock values in December 2022. While there are fears that history could be about to repeat itself thanks to Tesla‘s recent stock stumbles, Musk is keen to downplay this bump in the road and is looking ahead at a brighter future.

President Donald Trump is doing his best to support his so-called ‘First Buddy’, and by turning the White House into its very own Tesla showroom, there’s been a much-needed boost to the company’s fortunes.

Added to this, Musk has vowed to increase Tesla production in the USA. Posting on X, the divisive tech mogul wrote: “In support of the policies of President Donald Trump and to demonstrate our confidence in the future of the United States, Tesla commits to doubling vehicle production in the US within 2 years!”

This comes after the POTUS vowed to hand over a check for a shiny red Tesla Model S – even though he won’t be able to drive it.

Musk’s announcement comes after President Trump promised to push for more domestic manufacturing. In a White House post saying that things are on the up, the Trump administration claims it has gained 10,000 manufacturing jobs during Trump’s first full month in office. The release says this is in contrast to the Biden administration losing 9,000 manufacturing jobs per month during its final year.

The automobile industry is said to have especially flourished as it gained 8,900 new jobs in February 2025. If Musk does deliver on his Tesla uptick, the brand could be key in adding more jobs.

Skeptics remain unconvinced, and pointing out how Tesla’s Fremont Factory is supposedly being worked at capacity, Musk might have to look to the Gigafactory Texas complex.

Tesla’s Q4 update letter confirms the Freemont Factory can produce 650,000 vehicles a year, and while the Gigafactory is currently at 375,000, it would have to increase its output to reach the mythical 2 million.

The numbers might sound impressive, but remember how Musk previously hyped Tesla’s ability to reach Cybercab volume production in 2026. He unveiled plans to produce at least 2 million Cybercabs a year during a Q3 2024 earnings call, so to reach these supposedly ‘new’ targets, he simply has to continue as planned.

Some think the numbers don’t add up, but with a new Tesla Trump banging his drum for the EV brand, this could be an important turning point for Tesla…or mark the start of its continued downfall.

Tesla stock has reacted after Donald Trump and Elon Musk turned the White House lawn into a ‘Tesla showroom’ yesterday.

Full-time President of the United States, part-time Tesla salesman, it seems Donald Trump is trying to do it all. While the POTUS once said that electric vehicle owners can ‘rot in hell’, it was all smiles as President Trump sat behind the wheel of his new red Tesla Model S in front of the White House. Turning his office into its very own Tesla showroom, Trump stood firmly by Tesla’s side and defended the electric vehicle brand over recent controversy.

Alongside some vowing to boycott Tesla, others have taken it further by damaging vehicles and electric chargers, while police in Oregon confirmed a dealership was damaged by gunfire during a recent anti-Tesla protest.

It’s true that the President once owned a Tesla Roadster, but in the aftermath of rolling back the Biden administration’s EV plans, you might not think he’s Tesla’s No. 1 fan. Of course, the closeness of Elon Musk to the White House and the endorsement of Trump suggest it’s in everyone’s interest to try and keep Tesla’s wheels greased.

The President has said those who are targeting Tesla will be dealt with as ‘domestic terrorists’, and although Tesla stocks have taken a recent beating, it seems Trump’s sales pitch is working.

March 10 saw Tesla wipe $127 billion off its worth in a one-day ‘market bloodbath’ – marking its worst recordings since 2020. In general, Tesla stocks are down 50% since December 2024. Since peaking on December 17, Tesla has recorded seven straight weeks of losses, knocked around $800 billion from its market cap, and lost its trillion-dollar status.

Considering Trump entered the White House on January 20 and Musk has cemented himself as a key member of his counsel, it feels like more than a bit of a coincidence that Tesla stocks have started to tumble during this period.

There’s been some bounce back, with TSLA stocks rising by 3.79% in the past 24 hours.

Speaking at the White House event, Musk was looking at the future of Tesla and cheered: “As a function of the great policies of President Trump and his administration, and as an act of faith in America, Tesla is going to double vehicle output in the United States within the next two years.”

Could this be the start of Tesla’s return to form? Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas left a note to clients, telling potential investors now’s the time to buy: “Tesla shares have fallen 50% from the Dec 17th highs (and down 45% YTD) on poor sales data, negative brand sentiment, and market de-grossing. We see the pullback as a buying opportunity for an embodied AI compounder.”

Jonas points to upcoming ‘milestones’ like the robotaxi testing in Austin, an update on Tesla’s Optimus robots, and new federal rules on regulating autonomous vehicles as key deciders for Tesla stock.

Even though the stocks are back on the incline, Wedbush Securities financial analyst Dan Ives has warned that associating Tesla with the Trump administration could be bad for the brand in the long run.

Trump has suggested that a Tesla boycott is ‘illegal’, although that’s not actually the case. Either way, the President and Mr. Musk are doing everything in their power to ‘make Tesla great again’.

More gunshots fired at Tesla dealership for second time in a week following Musk’s involvement with Trump

Elon Musk has had backlash for his involvement in the Trump administration

More gunshots have been fired at a Tesla dealership for the second time in a week following Musk’s involvement with the Trump administration.

According to police, the showroom in Oregon was the target of gunfire for the second time within a week after new reports came in the early hours of Thursday morning (March 13).

Speaking to FOX12, police said that there were between 10 to 15 shots fired at the building, with ‘extensive damage’ being done to the building and cars.

The same showroom was previously the target of gunfire on March 6 by people protesting Elon Musk and Tesla.

However, this isn’t the only dealership to report damage after another location was struck by a Molotov cocktail.

This seems to be in response to Musk’s close ties to President Donald Trump after the tech billionaire took on a new role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in recent months.

Under DOGE, Musk has sparked controversy by making mass layoffs within the government to hack away at federal spending.

This has led to pushback from the public, with concerns growing over Musk’s access to confidential data in the Treasury payment system.

Earlier this week, Trump responded to the boycotting of Tesla by writing on Truth Social: “To Republicans, Conservatives, and all great Americans, Elon Musk is ‘putting it on the line’ in order to help our Nation, and he is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!

“But the Radical Left Lunatics, as they often do, are trying to illegally and collusively boycott Tesla, one of the World’s great automakers, and Elon’s ‘baby,’ in order to attack and do harm to Elon, and everything he stands for.”

Trump went on to write: “In any event, I’m going to buy a brand new Tesla tomorrow morning as a show of confidence and support for Elon Musk, a truly great American.

“Why should he be punished for putting his tremendous skills to work in order to help MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN???”

And Trump doesn’t appear to be concerned about Tesla’s declining market.

He said: “Markets are going to go up and they’re going to go down but, you know what, we have to rebuild our country.”

The president went through with his promise, opening up what appeared to be his own Tesla showroom at the White House this week.

There, the Tesla CEO sold Trump his own electric vehicle, a Tesla Model S.

Elon Musk has once again spoken out against skits involving his White House antics on late night TV, as a Daily Show ‘Tesla Auto Mall’ video has drawn a ‘brutal’ response from the car company’s CEO on X.

You begin to lose count of the people that Elon Musk has clashed with on X in the past few months alone, as he’s had fiery spats with everyone from horror icon Stephen King to Mike Myers and SNL.

He’s certainly giving these detractors plenty of ammunition to play with due to his new high profile role in American politics at the right hand of US President Donald Trump, and it’s once again not taken much to strike the nerve of the richest man in the world.

Following a bizarre publicity stunt that saw President Trump promoting Tesla outside of the White House alongside it’s CEO and ‘founder’ Musk, Jon Stewart’s The Daily Show decided to produce a satirical advert depicting the White House as an ‘auto mall’.

It’ll instantly make you recall trashy adverts for dodgy used car dealerships, with Trump’s breakdown of the electric vehicle’s qualities at the heart of it all.

“So don’t waste your time going to those other Tesla dealerships with riots and flaming Cybertrucks, you’ve gotta come down to White House Tesla Auto Mall,” the skit ends.

Naturally it caught the attention of Musk after being posted to his own social media platform, to which he offered his own five word response:

“Thanks for helping sell Teslas!! [laughing emoji]” Musk joked, but if recent reports of a sales decline and significant stock market losses are anything to consider, he might well need all the help he can get.

He’s certainly getting that from the President though, as The Daily Show’s sketch – like Myers’ portrayal of Musk – isn’t too far from the truth.

Trump’s appearance alongside a MAGA-esque red Tesla was nothing short of an advertisement, as he claimed that he’s buying a ‘brand new Tesla’ despite the fact that he’s not actually allowed to drive one himself.

On top of this, President Trump indicated that anyone who ‘messes with’ Tesla will be put ‘through hell’ after outlining that people targeting Tesla dealerships will be treated as ‘domestic terrorists’.

You don’t need to look back too far to see a wildly different stance from Trump on the rise of electric vehicles, as resurfaced comments show that he believed they were ‘destroying our once great USA’ and should ‘rot in hell’.

Close affiliation with Musk appears to have cured this distaste for EVs despite once claiming that they were “the idea of the Radical Left Fascists, Marxists, & Communists,” much like his opinion shift on Musk himself.
