Musk has responded to the petition in a now deleted post 🫣

Elon Musk’s Canadian citizenship has been called into question following a popular petition that calls to revoke it, as the richest man in the world has been at the heart of incendiary conversations surrounding America’s close neighbor.

Canada as a country was key to who Elon Musk is today, as it provided the foundation for his move to North America at just 17-years-old. As reported by CBC, Musk outlined: “I left South Africa by myself when I was 17 with just a backpack & suitcase of books. Worked on my Mom’s cousin’s farm in Saskatchewan & a lumber mill in Vancouver.”

This was before starting his first company, Zip2, with his brother Kimbal, and he has also previously claimed that he is “proudly half Canadian” in an April 2023 social media post.

His strong relationship with current US President Donald Trump appears to have changed this long-held admiration for the country though, as he’s played a key part in recent rhetoric that threatens to absolve Canada into America as the ’51st state’.

Musk’s own company Starlink has been affected by these tensions, as Ontario premier Doug Ford threatened to ‘rip up’ the C$100,000,000 ($68 million) contract with the SpaceX subsidiary following the announcement of US tariffs on Canada.

This has led to the creation of ‘Petition e-5353‘ by New Democratic Party MP Charlie Angus, requesting that Musk’s Canadian citizenship is revoked. The petition details as follows:

“Elon Musk has engaged in activities that go against the national interest of Canada; he has used his wealth and power to influence elections; he has now become a member of a foreign government that is attempting to erase Canadian sovereignty; and the attempts of Elon Musk to attack Canadian sovereignty must be addressed.

“We, the undersigned, citizens of Canada, call upon the Prime Minister to revoke Elon Musk’s dual citizenship status, and revoke his Canadian passport effective immediately.”

Musk gained Canadian citizenship in 1989 – 13 years prior to his US equivalent – yet this could begin to threaten it.

At the time of writing the petition has gained 283,301 signatures, and will continue to run until June 20, 2025. In a now-deleted post on X, Musk responded to news of the petition, writing: “Canada is not a real country.”

Unfortunately for those passionately attaching themselves to the petition, one key lawyer has outlined that the possibility of this being passed is highly unlikely, regardless of Musk’s toxicity towards the country.

Audrey Macklin, professor of law at the University of Toronto, outlines, as per CNN: “Canada does not revoke citizenship that is lawfully obtained. This means that there is actually no way of revoking Elon Musk’s Canadian citizen, unless he obtained it by fraud of misrepresentation.”

As this is not the case in Musk’s situation he’s likely to hold on to his Canadian half, although he might not be wearing it as proudly as he once was.

Some on the r/canadianpolitics subreddit have also agreed with this position, with one user stating:

“Hard pass. His mom was born in Regina, he came by his citizenship legitimately. If we take away his now, a right wing regime can take away yours tomorrow.”

Another sarcastically added: “Stripping someone of their citizenship for holding political views you disagree with? That’s not a slippery slope, at all.”

It certainly would open up a dangerous can of worms that the Canadian government likely won’t want to go anywhere near, but it does show that many Canadians are willing to express their frustration and anger at their fellow citizen’s recent actions.

Seems like Musk isn’t too happy with the pushback

Elon Musk’s response to a petition that seeks to revoke his Canadian citizenship has shocked many, as it continues to fan the flames underneath a faltering relationship between the United States and its close neighbor.

Thanks to his mother being born in Regina, Elon Musk was able to swiftly pick up Canadian citizenship in 1989 after moving there from his native South Africa at the age of just seventeen.

It took him a further 13 years before he was able to claim citizenship within the United States – where he now calls home – and despite previously claiming to be ‘proudly half-Canadian’, Musk’s recent relationship with the country has been somewhat rocky.

One of US President Donald Trump’s biggest post-election pushes has been against the Canadian government, which he now seemingly considers to be a rival.

At the heart of it all is a conquest to ‘take over’ the country and claim it as a supposed ’51st state’, and tensions have been furthered by now-paused tariffs placed on goods from Canada to the United States.

While Elon Musk hasn’t been a leading figure in these rhetorical pushes, he has been caught in the crossfire after Ontario premier Doug Ford ‘ripped up’ a $100 million Starlink contract in response to the news.

Additionally, his keen support of Trump and involvement close to the president as head of the Department of Government Efficiency has led to major pushback from hundreds of thousands of Canadian citizens in the form of a petition.

Petition e-5353‘, proposed by NDP MP Charlie Angus, calls upon the prime minister to ‘revoke’ Elon Musk’s dual citizenship status due to his involvement in a foreign government that “is attempting to erase Canadian sovereignty.”

As of the time of writing the petition has garnered 296,383 signatures, and will remain open until June 20, 2025.

It might not prove to be successful in its execution, as a lawyer has revealed that Canada is unlikely to revoke citizenship that has been legally and fairly obtained – which Musk’s has – but that still hasn’t stopped the richest man in the world from throwing a retaliatory punch on social media, as he always likes to do.

“Canada is not a real country,” Musk posted in a now-deleted tweet in response to the petition, and that’s certainly riled up many who were already exactly his biggest fans.

“Good,” argues the top comment on a post on the r/canadian subreddit, “then you won’t mind not being a citizen anymore.”

Another adds: “We’re a real country. He’s not even a real engineer.”

What many have also wondered is what Musk’s aforementioned mother thinks about statements like these, as she is Saskatchewan born and bred. “Apparently he’s so tweaked that he thinks the country his mother was born in isn’t a country. How about she’s not human and neither is he?”

It’s doubtful that this will be the last we hear from either side of this conflict, so we won’t have to wait long until Musk comes out with another controversial claim.

Elon Musk’s estranged daughter issues savage response after he welcomes 14th child weeks after the 13th

It beats finding out on Reddit

Tom Chapman

Elon Musk’s estranged daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson has reacted to shocking news that Musk has fathered a 14th child.

We all know that Elon Musk is a busy guy – what with running Tesla, SpaceX, X (formerly Twitter), and now the Department of Government Efficiency. But somewhere among all his business ventures, he finds time to get busy in a very different way.

In just a matter of weeks, it’s seemingly been revealed that Musk has fathered a 13th and 14th child. After MAGA influencer Ashley St. Clair claimed she’d secretly given birth to a son in September 2024, Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis officially announced that he’d had another child with the world’s richest man.

Sharing twins Strider and Azure, as well as one-year-old Arcadia, Zilis announced the birth of Seldon Lycurgus, who she described as “a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold.”

With the news coming so soon after St. Clair’s alleged 13th addition to the Musk dynasty, the announcement of another has come as quite a shock.

Never afraid to share her views on her father is Vivian Wilson, Elon’s estranged daughter.

Wilson previously explained how she found out about one of her half-siblings via a Reddit thread, and while it didn’t take as long this time, she’s equally unimpressed.

Stitching together a video poking fun at how she found out about two of her other siblings through Reddit, Wilson wrote, “This is already outdated nevermind 💀,” in black text over the video. In the caption, she added: “Technically it was through Threads this time though.”

In the comments, Wilson explained: “For clarity’s sake, I have found out through specifically Reddit twice – but through the internet in general 7 times 💀.”

When one said, “GIRL?? are you okay omg 😂,” another added, “No she’s Elon Musk’s daughter.”

Someone else said: “Vivian if we are tired of this man, I know you’re EXHAUSTED 😭🫂.”

Another concluded: “OMG ANOTHER ONE??? Someone castrate him.”

Wilson’s original post was shared on February 15, shortly after St. Clair shocked the world when she alleged Elon had added another son to his brood. None of us expected that we’d be talking about baby No. 14 just two weeks later.

Wilson doesn’t tend to hold back when discussing her estranged father, and as well as clapping back at him deadnaming her, she also claimed he knew what he was doing when he was accused of performing a Nazi gesture at Trump’s January 20 inauguration celebrations.

Her latest musings on her father’s parenting come after Errol Musk said his son wasn’t a good dad. Controversially calling back to the death of Elon’s eldest son, Errol Musk also said that the children spent too much time in the care of nannies – then dismissed Vivian’s transition as ‘bullsh*t.’

There’s not much love lost between some of the Musks, and while Elon remains the talk of the town, the others are providing just as much drama.

Elon Musk’s father reveals financial help he and his family receive from the Tesla billionaire

Elon Musk’s father has revealed the financial support he receives from his billionaire son.

As the world’s richest man, Elon isn’t just busy with his own ventures but he’s also recently stepped into a new position of influence as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency and a close ally of Trump.

But running several tech giants like Tesla, SpaceX, and Neuralink in this ever-expanding empire makes you wonder if Elon is the type of guy who sends some of his wealth back to his family?

Well, to some extent, yeah.

In an interview with DJ Vlad on YouTube, South African politician Errol Musk opened up about the financial assistance he receives from his son. Despite Elon’s fortune, Errol insists he doesn’t rely heavily on his son or the ‘Family’s Foundation,’ as he called it.

“I don’t ask for much help because I’m self-supporting, you see,” he said. “So, I don’t really have much need for help.”

However, he did reveal that Elon provides financial support to other members in the ‘extended family.’

For example, Errol mentioned that single women in the family ‘receive a monthly income’ whilst married women receive something similar.

At one point though, two years ago, Elon gifted his dad a pretty expensive car.

“It was originally going to be a Tesla which was going to be sent out here, but the price was astronomical,” Errol described.

When Errol was asked what he’d prefer instead, he skipped over the idea of a Jeep and requested a Bentley instead.

He added: “I said I want a Bentley so Elon said ‘sure, Bentley.’ So there’s a Bentley in my garage now,” Errol chuckled, adding that he’s ‘yet to add the number plates to it.’

While Errol admits that he doesn’t need much from Elon, he does reach out for help when necessary. “I don’t really have a great need for assistance but occasionally they help me if I ask,” he explained.

“They helped me with my medical costs,” he said, adding that the bills reached ‘nearly a million.’

Overall, the 79-year-old mentioned he has no complaints about how Elon and his brother Kimbal Musk treat their family. “If you ask them, they help you,” he stated.

If you’ve been keeping up with Elon’s recent news, you might already know that his relationship with his father has been rocky for years. In fact, the SpaceX founder refused to let his children meet their grandfather, largely due to Errol’s contentious past, including having a child with his own stepdaughter. Still, Errol has defended Elon in the media, even backing him over recent controversies.

Probably most notably, he dismissed allegations that Elon performed a ‘Nazi salute’ on stage, claiming it was an ‘international salute used for thousands of years.’

Many viewers have been praising Elon for supporting his family despite their troubled history.

“Love or hate Elon Musk I respect a man that takes care of his family,” one YouTube user wrote. “That’s pretty generous of Elon to help his entire family!” a second viewer added. “No matter how bad he speaks on his father, Elon still takes care of his father,” another viewer commented.

Donald Trump finally reveals the limits of Elon Musk’s power in government for the first time

We’re finally able to see where Musk stands relative to Trump’s cabinet

We might just have seen a glimpse where Elon Musk’s power in government reaches its limits, as US President Donald Trump outlines his desired process going forward when it comes to federal job cuts.

Elon Musk‘s big reward for supporting Donald Trump throughout his campaign trail was a new job as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, otherwise known as ‘DOGE’ for short.

This new private advisory board is tasked with cutting up to $2,000,000,000,000 from the federal budget, alongside shrinking bureaucracy as a whole through federal employment and department reductions.

With this power, Musk and his team have enacted widespread job cuts across most areas of government, starting with an email that threatened the roles of 100,000 employees, alongside major job losses in key departments like Education, Labor, and more.

Some agencies have seen their employee numbers reduced to just one – which is the legal minimum – while other have seen efforts ‘restored’ and mass rehires enacted after many employees were laid off ‘accidentally’ by DOGE workers that did not understand their importance.

Following a cabinet meeting led by President Trump, we now might finally have an insight into the limits of the power that Elon Musk holds as head of DOGE.

As reported by the Metro, Trump has asked his cabinet members to ‘go first’ and find positions they think should be cut themselves, while ‘keeping the good people’ at the same time – ideally to avoid making the same mistakes that have embarrassed DOGE so far.

“We’re going to be watching them, and Elon and the group, we’re going to be watching them,” Trump illustrated, adding that “if they can, it’s better. And if they don’t cut, then Elon will do the cutting.”

This seemingly puts Musk and DOGE a level underneath the cabinet members, ensuring that they get a chance to make their own decisions before Elon’s team comes in to clean up afterwards.

Trump also outlined in a post on Truth Social that he’s opting for the “‘scalpel’ rather than the ‘hatchet'” when it comes to cuts, and that “it’s very important that we cut levels down to where they should be, but it’s also important to keep the best and most productive people.”

Some have inferred this to be Trump putting Musk on a bit of a leash, indicating that he has been too reckless with his cutting actions, although the president also indicated that “DOGE has been an incredible success” so far.

Musk also echoed Trump’s statement, adding alongside a screenshot of the Truth Social post that it was a “very productive meeting.”
