Their identities have not yet been publicly released, however, they are reported as being a child, woman in her 40s, and man in his 60s.
Footage of the flight touching down in Canada is circulating on Twitter after it was uploaded by the social media user âairmainengineerâ.
The clip reveals the plane landed, before the back end immediately bellowed into a ball of fire and smoke.
The aircraft continues to glide down the runway, with a shadow of smoke being left in its path.
After seeing that, many online are under the impression that itâs remarkable no one onboard lost their life.
âGoodnessâŚ.this must be one of the craziest things seenâ, one person penned after seeing the footage, while a second added: âThat is insane! So glad everyone survived!â
The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement: âThe NTSB is leading a team of U.S. investigators to assist the Transportation Safety Board of Canada with their investigation of todayâs accident of a Delta Air Lines Bombardier CRJ900 at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
âPer international protocols under the International Civil Aviation Organizationâs Annex 13, any information about the investigation will be released by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.â

Meanwhile, Delta CEO Ed Bastian said, as quoted by The Independent: âThe hearts of the entire global Delta family are with those affected by todayâs incident at Toronto-Pearson International Airport.
âI want to express my thanks to the many Delta and Endeavor team members and the first responders on site.â
A recording from âLiveATC.netâ revealed an air traffic controller in conversation with the Delta Airlines planeâs pilots prior to the crash, with the controller stating: âEndeavor Air 4819. Turn right heading 210. Descent to 3,000. Cleared ILS 23 approach.â
Another voice responds: âAlright heading 210. Down to 3,000. Cleared through the ILS, 23. Endeavor 4819.â
However, air traffic control then warns of winds measuring â27â and gusts â33â adding despite the plane being âcleared to land Runway 23,â it âmay get a slight bumpâ and âthere will be an aircraft in front of itâ.
The crash then occurs after that, with a voice confirming the plane has âcrashedâ and emergency services are âneededâ.
