It seems to be that if you buy aĀ Cybertruck, chances are that you want people to know youāve bought the armoredĀ TeslaĀ beast. After all, with the minimum price coming in at $82,000 and going up from there, youāre effectively driving around with a giant price tag on your head.
Cybertrucks are expensive enough as is (especially if you go for the pricier Foundation Series), but nothing says, āLook at me,ā quite likeĀ driving a gold Cybertruck.
Cruising around the neighborhood while looking like youāve got the Midas touch might not be for everyone, and itās something that sounds just as cursed as King Midas himself.
Opening up about what itās like to drive a golden Cybertruck, Dr. Kumait JarojeĀ toldĀ CBS News that heās constantly harassed for driving the ostentatious vehicle.
Speaking to the outlet, Jaroje explained that someone stuck an obscene sticker on his Cybertruck when he shared a photo of it on social media. A scroll of his X account shows a picture of the offending sticker, which reads, āNazis f**k off.ā

Discussing when his wife found the sticker, Jaroje continued: āShe was horrified. She was, like, crying, screaming out of her throat, āI will never drive that Cybertruck anymore.’ā
Expanding on his experience driving the gold Cybertruck, he added how he feels āanxious and nervous about our safety and my kidsā safety as well.ā
However, when Jaroje shared the incident online, he claims he got even more hate.
Saying that this harassment started when Tesla CEO Elon Musk started supporting President Donald Trump, the fact that Musk is nowĀ heading up the Department of Government EfficiencyĀ has only fueled the backlash: āNow, theyāre not just waving at me, theyāre not just giving me the middle finger. Somebody tried to cut me off while Iām driving with my kids and three guys came out of the car and just pointed the middle finger and started screaming at me.ā
As for why he drives a gold Cybertruck, Jaroje says it is a symbol for his achievements and the medical spa that he owns since moving from Syria: āThatās why I came to this country. I pursued my dream. Now, Iām enjoying the free speech, but with this taking a different turn, that made me very concerned.ā
Although he says heās tried to contact Tesla aboutĀ swapping his golden Cybertruck, the doctor claims he was informed via text that the EV manufacturer currently isnāt accepting trade-ins.
Thereās been a recentĀ uptick in Tesla stickersĀ and backlash in general to the brand ever since Elon Musk wasĀ accused of performing a āNazi gestureā at President Donald Trumpās inauguration.
Summing up his feelings towards the entire debacle, Jaroje concluded: āItās not just about what happened to me. Itās about everyone in this country. If you disagree, donāt retaliate. Donāt be violent. Donāt try to hurt your neighbor. Weāre all human.ā
