Netflix viewers are claiming that the streaming serviceâs best-ever series is an underrated show that gets nowhere near the love that it deserves.
Any Netflix subscriber will tell you that some of the best content on TV is available on the platform.
From iconic shows such as Breaking Bad and Friends to its original titles such as Stranger Things and Wednesday.
More recently, people have praised the disturbing documentary Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey â which has been dubbed as âone of the most disturbingâ series ever.
However, some viewers are suggesting that Netflixâs best show is an underappreciated series that doesnât get the love that some of its other shows get.

The show came out in 2017 and ran until 2020 â where it received extremely positive reviews with Rotten Tomatoes giving the show a 95% rating.
On top of that, the BBC ranked the series as the 58th greatest TV series of the 21st century and considering just how many shows have been released, that is very high praise.
People have applauded the show on social media â with some dubbing it as one of the âbest shows ever.â
One person writes: âItâs amazing. I usually know what is going to happen in films/ series. But this one wasnât predictable. Absolute masterpiece.â
âLove this show! One of the best Iâve seen,â adds a second.
âEasily one of the best shows Iâve ever watched,â pens a third.
Someone else shares: âItâs the only show I had to pause now and then in the middle of an episode to rethink what Iâve just seen. Itâs one of the best material of its genre I have ever seen.â
Another viewer shares: This is the best series on Netflix. But if you plan on watching it you really have to pay attentionâŚno scrolling on your phone, if you miss a second youâll be lost.â

The synopsis for the series reads: âWhen two children go missing in a small German town, its sinful past is exposed along with the double lives and fractured relationships that exist among four families as they search for the kids.
âThe mystery-drama series introduces an intricate puzzle filled with twists that includes a web of curious characters, all of whom have a connection to the townâs troubled history â whether they know it or not.â
Dark is a German-speaking series developed by Netflix which follows the story of two children who go missing in a small town.
Dark was created by Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar â who went on to create the critically acclaimed series 1899.
The show debuted on the streaming service in 2017, with its third and final season airing in 2020.
Since Dark ended in 2020, fans have been clamouring for a fourth season, however, the creators have shut the idea down â much to fansâ displeasure.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the creative duo explained that three seasons was âthe perfect amountâ and any extra seasons would have felt like they were making it more âcomplicatedâ.
Friese explained: âIt was absolutely the perfect amount. Anything else would have felt like stretching it unnecessarily and making it more complicated on a narrative level. We love symbolism and we believe you have to be true to the symbols you lay out.
âThe triquetra and things coming in three is one of them. It would have felt like selling our souls and not delivering on what we wanted to do [if we had more seasons]. It feels quite right and satisfactory.â
