Jesse McCartney is adding another beautiful soul to his family.
The “Just So You Know” singer and his wife Katie Peterson are expecting their first baby, the couple announced on social media in honor of Valentine’s Day.
“Our little valentine,” Jesse wrote on Instagram Feb. 14 alongside an adorable photo of him and his pregnant wife wearing matching black pajama sets and holding an ultrasound photo. “Arriving 8/8. xo.”
And that wasn’t the only glimpse the All My Children alum provided into his new parenthood journey with Katie, who he married in 2021 following nine years of dating.
In addition to the ultrasound pic, their joint announcement included several snapshots from their pregnancy shoot. In one image, Jesse—wearing a light gray suit—hugged Katie, 37, from behind while they both rested a hand on her growing baby bump. To top off the sweet moment, Katie—rocking a form-fitting, black, long-sleeved dress—placed a loving hand on her husband’s cheek.
“That’s the path we’re traveling down at this moment,” the 37-year-old told E! News in March 2024. “To be clear, we’re not pregnant. But it’s something we’ve discussed.”

“The general idea of having to keep something alive is very scary to me,” Jesse explained. “We’ve done a pretty good job with our dog, but it pales in comparison to the responsibility of taking care of a human child.”
Luckily, the “Beautiful Soul” singer has been exposed to some wonderful examples that have helped ease his fears.
