Kim Kardashian has opened up about the âcraziest thingâ happening with her eldest daughter, North West, after her divorce from Kanye West.
Kim and Kanye â who now goes by Ye â finalized their divorce in November 2022 after eight years of marriage. The pair share four children together â North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
And on yesterdayâs episode (February 27) of The Kardashians, Kim opened up about how the divorce impacted her relationship with eldest child, 11-year-old North, during a game of ping pong with older sister Kourtney.
She revealed the âcraziest thingâ happened between her and North.
Kim explained: âTell me if this happened with Mason. North is like, obsessed with me now and like, calls me with her friends, like, âMom I love you, youâre the best mom, I love you so much.’â
Kourtney noted âsheâs always been like that with [her]â and questioned whether Kim had âchangedâ in some way, prompting the different behavior.
Kim reflected there was âa yearâ of North being âmadâ at her and, agreeing with Kourtneyâs suggestion, she thinks the change was âallâ because of âthe divorceâ.
To which Kim added: âItâs insane the turnaround.â
Kim has previously spoken out about her relationship with her eldest on the show, revealing in 2023 that North had said she preferred going to her dadâs house.

During an episode which aired in November that year, she said: âSheâll go to her dadâs. Sheâll be like: âDadâs the best! He has it all figured out. He doesnât have a nanny, he doesnât have a chef, he doesnât have security, he lives in an apartmentâ.
âAnd sheâll start crying: âWhy donât you have an apartment? I canât believe we donât have an apartment!’â
The episode also saw North rip into her momâs cooking, a producer asking Kim if she can cook and North answering on her behalf: âHeck no.â
Kourtney reassured Kim she experiences something similar while co-parenting with ex-partner Scott Disick, explaining sheâs often been told by her kids their dadâs house is âbestâ and the âvibe is betterâ despite it not being âsuper bigâ.
âI feel like everything falls on the parent thatâs more involved,â Kourtney argued, adding in another episode: âObviously, having nannies and a chef to help cook is beyond helpful. Itâs all about family and enjoying these moments. It takes a village to raise kids, but at the end of the day, your kids only want you.â
